TEMECULA & SAN DIEGO. My first trip to California did not disappoint. From horseback riding through wine country to whale watching (we didn't see any whales) to a visit to the San Diego Zoo. Seeing Sea Lions and Seals at La Jolla Cove. What was supposed to be some FRIENDS sightseeing turned into TOP GUN with a trip to the USS Midway Museum, a scenic drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to the Top Gun House then lunch at the restaurant in downtown San Diego where Maverick and Goose sang Great Balls of Fire on the piano and of course Meg Ryan’s “Goose you big stuuud. Take me to bed or lose me forever!”…but the best part of our trip was watching the little girl I met when she was just 10 years old who never wanted to do her math homework and one of my absolute favorite people on the planet get married.
