Hi, I'm Lynn (or Lynnie, one of the many nicknames i've been given over the years by my husband and friends). I always thought my name was boring, i even added an "e" to it as a kid just to give it a vowel (and boy did i get in trouble!) but as an adult i have learned to love it.
I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and yes i went to Disney World A LOT as a kid. I didn't really travel much growing up, we didn't do family vacations in the station wagon or anything like that, but why would we when we had Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Circus World/Boardwalk & Baseball, Wet n' Wild, Mystery Fun House and Universal Studios all right in our backyard. i did go to London, England my senior year of high school to cheer and dance in the Lord Mayor of Westminsters New Years Day Parade and to this day that is the farthest i have ever traveled.
22+ years ago i met this cute Michigander and have been head over heals for him ever since. We have been married for 20 years and have two adult children. Our oldest just went back to school to get another degree and our youngest is starting her senior year at the University of Florida, GO GATORS!
My husband and i started buying and renovating houses back in 2009. When our kids were little we would bring them to job sites and set them up with a TV and Nintendo GameCube in the cleanest room we could find for as long as they'd let us work. My husband was an engineer by trade and i was a stay-home-mom who painted, tiled, drywalled, cleaned some seriously nasty houses, etc etc while the kids were at school. Today we own 16 rental houses and it has allowed my husband to retire from his corporate day job and just manage our properties which also gives us an unexpected amount of freedom.
I just celebrated my 50th birthday on a cruise to the Bahamas and we had such a good time that we decided we needed to travel more, explore more, enjoy life more and work less..... which is why i wanted to start a travel blog.
I currently have five more cruises booked. YES FIVE! I also recently acquired my Florida Seller of Travel license and joined a travel agency so i can plan my own adventures, and maybe some for friends and family too if they'll let me.
